Kern County Library
Beale Memorial Summer Event
The mission of the Kern County Library is to build community and cultivate opportunities for Kern County residents, by connecting people, ideas, information and technology. They have goals of enhancing the quality of life for residents, being a model of excellence and fostering a culture of innovation.
Their summer events include a free lunch for kids 18 years and under while providing educational opportunities, activities and entertainment. We had so much fun partnering with the Kern County Library to provide a free show for the youth of our community to not only enjoy, but also actively participate in with us. Here are a few of our highlights!
Cal State University, Bakersfield
Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival
California State University, Bakersfield celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month with several events throughout the month of April.
One of CSUB's goals is "to work towards creating a greater society of equity and justice, not only for Asians and Pacific Islanders but for all marginalized groups".
We were honored to be asked to help represent our culture, our heritage and our art at this festival and hope to spread awareness of the diversity within Kern County.
Kern High School District
- End of Year Teacher Appreciation Event
- Centennial High School Festival Concert
- ROC CTEC Small Business Entrepreneurship
Community and collaboration have been at the forefront of our focus as we strive to have a greater presence within Kern County. It is with the goal of sharing our aloha and touching as many lives as possible that we said yes when asked to become an approved vendor for the Kern High School District. Through these various events we had the opportunity to thank our educators for all their dedication and hard work, to collaborate with some of the best musical minds in our community while introducing our language and art to the many talented students and to speak to our youth about small business entrepreneurship and aim to provide some inspiration and hope as they plan for their future successes. Mahalo nui loa does not say enough for our gratitude in these experiences.
