Our classes are fun, educational and structured to enhance our performers' understanding of the culture and dance of the Polynesian Islands. We combine history and music with rhythm and exercise to provide a well-rounded and full experience for each of our dancers at all ages. Keiki Class (ages 4 - 9)
Our Keiki class introduces music, rhythm and counting basics while providing the foundation of basic hula and Tahitian steps to our young and interested dancers. They are also the highlight of our kid-friendly shows which allows them to learn to overcome any stage fright at young ages while sharing their aloha spirit with the audiences. No dancing experience necessary.

Kaikamahine Class (ages 9 - 15)
Our Kaikamahine class is a performance group which establishes and builds on the foundation of basic and intermediate hula and Tahitian steps. This age group is introduced to learning and understanding the translation of the songs and dances so they can emphasize their meanings through the performance. The dance is an art, from the gracefulness in hula to the fa'arapu in tahitian, the growth for the dancers' appreciation of the culture and artistry starts here! No experience required!

Wahine Class (age 16+)
Our Wahine class builds on the foundation of intermediate and advanced hula and Tahitian steps. This performance group, the big sisters of our halau, embodies the authentic culture through the dances to bring the aloha spirit to every audience they entertain. Their understanding and knowledge of every move of the dance shines through in each performance. Although expectations are high for our wahine, rehearsals are filled with fun and laughter, encouraging a lasting bond within this ohana. No experience required!

Ke Papa Ohana (age 16+)
Our Ke Papa Ohana Class is a non-performing class for those just looking to get a work-out in while learning fun hula and tahitian moves. This class provides a full body workout where cardio, flexibility and strength are combined with grace and balance. The simple choreographies to the island music will keep you moving non-stop!

Musicians & Tahitian Drummers
Our musician and drummers class is for all ages interested in learning the beauty and art of Hawaiian music and tahitian drums. We incorporate the beginner and intermediate steps to the traditional rhythms and sounds of the islands. Once ready our musicians and drummers accompany our dancers in performances around Kern County.

Siva Afi (Fire Knife)
Siva Afi, or fire knife dancing, is a traditional dance in the Samoan Culture. This has become one of the most popular and highly requested dances in our shows. The Siva Afi dancers practice routinely with choreography and fire, all while learning the history and culture of the dance.
